Concrete TextureIndustrial concrete read — without the slab.

An applied concrete-look finish — the read of board-formed or raked concrete, on a 4–6 mm cementitious build. Indistinguishable from poured concrete under most lighting; orders of magnitude lighter, faster to install, more controllable in colour.

Why people choose it

What makes it stand apart.

  • 01

    Board-formed read

Real timber-board impressions or sand-blasted raking patterns — your choice from a sample set.

  • 02

    Tunable colour

Pigmented to look like dry industrial concrete, weathered shutter concrete, or warm earth-toned cement.

  • 03

    Goes anywhere

Drywall, masonry, ply — even existing painted walls with sufficient prep.

Process

How we install concrete texture.

A controlled, on-site sequence — each stage signed off before the next begins.

  1. 01

    Prep & key

Wall ground or scored for adhesion, primed with a bonding primer.

  2. 02

    First build

Trowelled to 3–4 mm, allowed to set. Board impressions taken if you've chosen a board-formed read.

  3. 03

    Second build

Final 2 mm trowel coat, pigmented to your colour, finished by trowel or sponge for texture.

  4. 04

    Wash & age

Lime washes layered to imitate the cast-shutter staining of real poured concrete.

  5. 05

    Seal

Matte sealer for living areas; satin sealer for kitchens or splashbacks.

From the work

What our clients say.

Three notes stay in view at once: the lead story, the neighbouring context, and the next surface waiting in the queue.

01

"We had three other contractors quote our penthouse refit. DecoPaint were the only ones who turned up with sample tiles before we'd even signed. The microcement bathrooms came out exactly as we'd hoped."

Mariam K.

Homeowner · Palm Jumeirah, Dubai

Microcement · 110 m²

02

"Our restaurant interiors needed a concrete-texture finish that could handle daily kitchen heat and steam. Three years in, the walls look better than they did on day one. Quiet, professional crew."

Hisham R.

Restaurant owner · DIFC, Dubai

Concrete texture · 240 m²

03

"We brief contractors a lot in our practice. DecoPaint is one of the few we've kept on our preferred list. Tight communication, honest about timeline, and the marmorino finish on our last villa was textbook."

Priya S.

Senior interior designer · Studio in Al Wasl

Marmorino · 8 rooms

04

"Took the day off to be on site, didn't need to. They sent photos every morning, asked the right questions, finished early. The terrazzo lobby is genuinely the best surface in the building."

Omar A.

Building owner · Abu Dhabi

Terrazzo · 380 m²

05

"The pearl finish in our master suite is exactly what I'd been trying to describe to other contractors for two years. They got it the first time."

Lina F.

Homeowner · Arabian Ranches, Dubai

Pearl finish · 4 rooms

FAQ

Concrete Texture — questions

Don't see your question? Email us — we read every one.

  • Visually almost identical; structurally a thin coating. We use it where structural concrete isn't desirable — interiors, high floors, retrofit walls.

  • Most jobs run 3–6 days on site, plus a 7-day cure window before the surface is in full service.

  • By square metre, all-in: materials, labour, prep and a 5-year warranty. Specialty work is quoted per project.

  • Yes — we bring A5 hand-finished sample tiles to a review meeting at your project, anywhere in the UAE, so you can see each finish in your own light before you commit.

  • Across all seven emirates. Travel and lodging for crew is built into quotes outside Dubai.
