Limewash is the only finish in our catalogue that gets better with time, not worse. The slaked-lime reaction with the atmosphere continues for months after we leave. Each year the wall develops a slightly deeper, more variegated character than the day it was applied.

Cleaning

A dry microfibre or feather duster is enough for routine cleaning. For marks, dab with distilled water and a soft sponge — never a chemical cleaner, never an abrasive pad. The mineral surface scratches if you scrub it.

Hand-prints and scuffs

These will appear at door handles, light switches, the corner of the hallway where the dog passes. Don't fight them — they're part of the patina. If they ever bother you, we'll come back with the original batch and re-wash the affected wall in 30 minutes.

Refresh, every 7–10 years

If you want to refresh the colour entirely — go bolder, go lighter, change pigment — that's a half-day job per room. No stripping, no sanding. We just brush over with new limewash. Materials: AED 30/m². Labour: usually a day for a typical room.
